THE ROSARY SONATAS: A MOTHER’S LAMENT
Journey with Mary, the mother of Jesus, as she follows her son into Jerusalem for the triumph and tragedy of Holy Week. Adulation turns to abject sorrow in an age-old saga whose raw emotion is tempered by a mother’s love.
We sojourn through the Cathedral’s crypt chapels with the Rosary Sonatas of Franz Biber, four of the Tenebrae Responsories by Carlo Gesualdo, and the poetry of Rainer Marie Rilke. Featuring the Cathedral’s artist-in-residence, Elicia Silverstein.
